JOSHUA LOOKING TO MAKE 2018 A LANDMARK YEAR
Current reigning WBA IBF and IBO Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, believes 2018 could be the year that decides his long-term legacy in leaving his mark in the sport as an all-time heavyweight great.
The 28 year old from Watford has set his sights on unifying the heavyweight division by defeating WBC champion Deontay Wilder and WBO champion Joseph Parker.

A potential British domestic showdown with former champion Tyson Fury has also been talked about which would be another huge super fight on the cards and Joshua feels these are the fights that could see it be a landmark year in his career.
Joshua speaking to Dubai Eye 103.8 has been quoted as saying: “It has been four years in the making. We have been listening to what people want and they want to see who is king of the heavyweight division.
I’m embracing everything coming my way this year.”
Former Olympic gold medallist Joshua is widely regarded as the number one Heavyweight in the division since his historic victory and fight of the year candidate over long-time serving heavyweight Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley back in April.
When asked if he would compare himself to the likes of Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson, should he unify the division, Joshua replied: “100 per cent, because we’ve done something credible and tangible.
“The proof is always in the pudding, and once I’ve got something I’ll talk about it. At the minute I’m a prospect, but I keep a lid on it because there’s a long way to go.”
Joshua rightfully believes should he become the first current heavyweight to hold all four titles and become the next undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis, that he should be regarded as being among the greatest heavyweights in history, though he accepts there is still plenty of work to do and he is not there yet.
