Who will come out on top in the Premier League this weekend? We look at some of the games and predictions...

Newcastle United take the unenviable trip down to Manchester to take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City team. Three points will be important for both but for very different reasons.

City will be looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season at Liverpool and maintain their strong title push, whereas Newcastle are hovering dangerously over the relegation zone and need to start separating soon to avoid being dragged into that battle.

Guardiola will not be one to panic after suffering a loss. The players were tasked with coming in on Monday for a debriefing of the game but were told they didn’t have to return until Thursday which means the group should be very well rested.

The league leaders still have an extremely healthy lead over the neighbours and are still favourites to win the title. Fabian Delph limped out of the Liverpool game and will face some weeks out with a muscle problem.

David Silva is expected to feature having been in and out of the team due to some personal issues but City will still be without Vincent Kompany, Gabriel Jesus and Benjamin Mendy who are the long-term absentees.

Newcastle currently in 15th position have been dragged into the relegation scrap. The takeover bid of Newcastle seems to have stalled and Rafa Benitez is surely to be without funds to strengthen his squad in this January window.

The Magpies won’t be surviving in the league with games like this, but will surely not want to get embarrassed and put on a decent showing.  "
