Brit Manuwa has promised to knock out Blachowicz in front of his home fans to avenge his 2015 defeat
Britain’s Jimi Manuwa is on the bill for UFC Fight Night London 2018 when he will take on Jan Blachowicz in front of a home crowd at the O2 Arena.
Thirty-seven-year-old Manuwa, who was born in California but is fighting out of Croydon, will meet Poland’s Blachowicz, 34, in a rematch of a light heavyweight bout on March 17.
‘He’s the only fighter I’ve gone to a decision with in my career and I aim to rectify that on March 17th. I will knock him out. says Manuwa
‘I respect him as he is willing to fight anyone and he’s definitely improved since we last met, but I’ve got significantly better and we will see this in the Octagon.
‘I’ll be patient and strike when he makes mistakes.’
Manuwa, nicknamed ‘Posterboy, will be looking to build on his 17-3 record and get back to winning ways when he goes toe to toe with Blachowicz, who won their previous fight via a unanimous decision in Poland in April 2015.
