Not a lot of people know that the cucumber comes with a lot of hidden secrets, these secrets are very beneficial and I am sure once people know they will value cucumbers even more. 

The cucumber is originated from India and is over 3000 years old. Some people confuse for a vegetable but it is a fruit that is mostly 90% water and has very low sugar content. It goes well with a bit of salt.

Packed with vitamin: Cucumbers are full of vitamins and minerals. You will find vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, folic acid, calcium, iron, potassium, zinc, magnesium and phosphorous. These vitamins are all good for hair, nails, digestive system and help with metabolism.

Reduces the risk of developing cancer: Cucumbers have the main nutrient called cucurbitacin this nutrient helps to discourage cancer cells from growing. It is especially good at reducing cancers in both men and women specifically; breast cancer, ovarian cancer, uterus cancer and prostate cancer.

Re-hydration: Cucumber is made up of 90% of water hence it is best for when one is dehydrated. The water from the cucumber helps to rejuvenate the body and restore the water that is needed. It is highly recommended for older people who need the added hydration, especially for their skin.

Cellulite fixer: By just rubbing a slice of cucumber on the area with cellulite a compound called phytochemical activates the collagen on the skin to tighten it and gets rid of the cellulite. It can also be used on wrinkles.

Sea cucumber is considered nutritious but may cause allergy in people with a known allergy to shellfish.

Reduces inflammation: Cucumber comes with anti-inflammatory properties. So it will reduce inflammation and swelling in the body by counteracting with the cyclo-oxygenase enzyme which causes pain and swelling. Energy booster: With all the vitamin B found in the cucumber, it works well as an energy booster. One can use cucumber to combat tiredness during the day instead of taking lots of cups of coffee. This is a great way to cut back on caffeine.

Good hangover cure: With cucumber being made of mostly water, if one takes a few slices before bedtime after drinking, they will have their electrolytes replenished and sugars replaced. Plus with vitamin B, the body will wake up as good as new having been restored to its previous settings.

Cucumbers have so many good qualities that are were people were not aware of. One underrated fruit can improve a person’s quality of life and add years on when one has underlying conditions. This truly is a remarkable fruit.
