BOXING LEGEND FRANK BRUNO TELLS ANTHONY JOSHUA TO BE CAREFUL

Anthony Joshua needs to watch the people around him, according to Frank Bruno

ANTHONY JOSHUA is doing the right things but as champion you worry about the people that surround there selves around you for money, according to Frank Bruno.

For the past few weeks Joshua and Wilder have been involved in a Twitter spat with Wilder posting his latest video responding to Joshua’s tweets.

Joshua defends his WBA and IBF belts this weekend against Carlos Takam in Cardiff. Most believe this will be an easy fight for Joshua and another payday for him and his team.

“Sometimes you get worried about the entourage around, cause in the entourage everyone’s got to get a little (‘ching’ ‘ching’ ‘ching’), and if some of the entourage don’t get a bit of the (‘ching’ ‘ching’ ‘ching’) they might put a little spanner in the works” he said when talking to The Voice Newspaper.

Bruno thinks Joshua is doing everything right so far, admires his work ethics and the way he carries himself.

“He’s [ANTHONY] (very very) on point, he knows what he wants, he’s doing what he’s got to do. But I’d advise him don’t get involved”

Bruno also praised him for recent success, but was worried for him as a young man and being the man that everybody is targeting. He stated that he’s told him to stay focused and stay humble on his journey.

“(He) fought in the Klitschko fight very well, but if he gets beaten people will start, putting him down. As long as he keeps his feet on the ground, do what he’s got to do, save his pennies and stay humble he’s doing the right thing.”

Joshua recently beat former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in April to become the IBF, WBO and WBA champion of the World in an epic battle which saw him get knocked down for the first time in his professional career.

Since turning professional Joshua has remained unbeaten and has not put a foot wrong. What’s waiting in the wings is a potential fight with Deontay Wilder to unified the belts in the division.

Bruno on the other hand has just released his book entitled ‘Let me be Frank’, which highlights some of the dangers of mental health in men.

Having once been at the top of the division, Bruno is one of a few people that knows what it’s like to have a target on your back and a crew of people that are in it for the money.
